Ac field dependence of the susceptibility of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 thin films at low dc fields
1996
We have measured the ac field dependence of the ac susceptibility of 400 nm thick Bi2212 thin films at low dc fields 0 ≤μ0Ha ≤ 1 mT in transverse geometry. We show that at reduced temperaturest≤0.85 the ac field dependence can be described by the non-linear Bean model after Brandt as in Y123 thin films. Att>0.85, however, we observe a decrease of the energy dissipation and shielding capability. The critical current density at zero dc field is given byjc−4×1010(1−(T/Tc))2.8±0.1 A/m2.

Field Induced Evolution of Nanoscale Structures in Relaxor PLZT Ceramics
2005
Abstract The kinetics of the nanoscale structures under application of bipolar and unipolar ac field was investigated by recording of the switching charge in wide temperature and field range in hot-pressed relaxor PLZT ceramics. Original analysis of the switching charge data was based on the consideration of the field induced transformation as an evolution of the nanoscale domain structure with nanoscale nonpolar inclusions. We have shown that the inhomogeneous depolarization field produced by the bound charges existing at the interphase boundaries play the key role in spontaneous backswitching effects.
Electronic Processes in Solid State: Dirac Framework
2019
The present paper proposes canonical Dirac framework adapted for application to the electronic processes in solid state. The concern is a spatially periodic structure of atoms distinguished by birth and annihilation of particle states excited due to interaction with the electromagnetic field. This implies replacing the conventional energy-momentum relation specific of the canonical Dirac framework and permissible for particle physics by a case specific relation available for the solid state. The advancement is a unified and consistent mathematical framework incorporating the Hilbert space, the quantum field, and the special relativity. Essential details of the birth and annihilation of the …
